Threading
Threading, I feel, is the best form of hair removal and is something I have been practising for years. It is a technique that is growing in popularity and is being offered at more and more salons.
This kind of hair removal can be used anywhere but I feel it is most effective when applied to the facial area, such as the eyebrows and upper lips area.
What is threading and what can you expect?
Threading is fairly simple, all that is required is a piece of cotton threat. This is the twisted into a loop and rolled against the skin where it pulls out any unwanted hairs. The hair are actually plucked out at the follicle level but entire rows are done at once so it makes for straighter lines.
Because only thread is used, this method is very sanitary, nothing is put on the skin which eliminates any chances of irratations. The finest of hairs can be removed easily and the area won’t be left red or swollen and your skin will be smooth. It also will not take any layers off the skin like waxing might which is particularly good for anyone with sensitive skin.
Any hair removal can be slightly painful and as you will be having a row plucked at once it does get a lot out of the way in one go. This method is probably slightly less painful than plucking though. Threading is much healthier, with no chemicals or ingrowing hairs and the fact it can be used on sensitive skin, it does make it the best choice for hair removal.
