Waxing
Obviously, anywhere there is hair can be waxed and removed and much as I prefer threading, waxing has its benefits and is certainly easier for somewhere like the legs where you can remove a good amount of hair at once. You should be careful with some of the more sensitive areas of the body, especially if you have any skin problems or particularly sensitive skin.
Waxing will help to exfoliate the skin as it removes dead skin. This leaves fresh new skin and can help us to look younger and help it feel soft and stay smooth.
The actual waxing process is fairly straight forward. The first step is to apply a thin layer of wax and press it down firmly with a piece of cloth. The wax will then stick to the skin and when it is removed it will pull out the unwanted hairs.
With hairs being pulled out it will feel a little painful. The wax also sticks to the skin so some of that is being peeled off at the same time but as we know, this also help to exfoliate the skin so it has its benefits.
There are two methods of waxing, hot and cold but both produce the same result. Hot wax will be melted onto your skin, left for a few minutes to harden and then removed whereas cold is already on the cloth that is applied to your skin and then removed straightaway.
There are a couple of disadvantages to waxing in that it can cause irratation to the skin and some redness and rashes and it should not be used on sensitive skin.
